Queer & Asian
| QUEER & ASIAN CinemAsia Film Festival finds her origins in the Queer & Asian Film Festival, which was organized by Doris Yeung and Petra van Dongen and held in 2003 in Filmhuis Cavia. During this festival it became clear that there was a demand for a more general Asian Film Festival as well. Queer & Asian became CinemAsia, but we never forgot our roots: the Queer & Asian selection is still an unique segment in our festival. This year our Queer & Asian selection contains 9 films, including the very sexy Permanent Residence (gay), the very first Vietnamese musical film Saigon Love Story and the more political LGBT documentary Queer China, Comrade China with after the film a panel discussion on Queer Asian Imaginations. Come and join us on our journey through LGBT Asia! Mix & Mingle: CinemAsia Queer party & Queer karaoke Date: 28 May 2010 Time: 23:30 – 02:00 uur Always wanted to be a pop star?!
