Sun-Ju Choi (on the panel on Asian Identity)
Sun-Ju Choi regisseerde verschillende korte films en documentaires over migratie en integratie. Ze is de initiatiefneemster van Kanak TV, een onafhankelijk film project gestationeerd in Duitsland. Choi is ook festival directeur van het Asian Women’s Film Festival in Berlijn.

Kit Hung studeerde af aan The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006. Zijn werken , die omschreven worden als sprookjes met hedendaagse moderne elementen, worden vertoond op zo’n 60 film en videofestivals over de hele wereld.

Josie Ho (Lead Actress of Dream Home)
Iconisch and uniek, Josie Ho is een visionaire actrice. Ze heeft meer dan 30 films op haar naam staan, met een grote variëteit aan rollen, Ho verwierf een underground cult status in China en over de rest van de wereld met haar film Butterfly.

Conroy Chan (Producer of Dream Home)
Chan is niet alleen producer, maar ook acteur, rapper en jeugdcultuuricoon, hij is een vooruitstrevend persoon die de grenzen van cultuur in Hong Kong opzoekt. Hij schitterde in meer dan 30 films en heeft onlangs de productiemaatschappij ‘852 Films’ opgezet, samen met zijn vrouw Josie Ho.

Cui Zi En (Director of Queer China)
Cui Zi’en is de festivaldirecteur van het Beijing LGBT Film and Culture Festival. Hij is een onafhankelijke filmmaker, schrijver en producer. Zijn werken, waaronder de eerste homo novelle in het moderne China, weten het bewustzijn van het Chinese publiek aan te spreken en te attenderen op homoseksuele liefde.

‘O’ Nathapon (Director of A Moment in June)
O is geboren en getogen in Thailand maar geschoold in Engeland, en woont daar sinds 1994. In 2004 studeerde hij af aan het Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Naast zijn andere werk, werkt hij op het moment als regisseur van muziekvideo’s voor Sony Music Thailand.

Cui Zi’En is the Director of the Beijing LGBT Film and Culture Festival. He is an independent filmmaker, writer and producer. His works, including the first gay novel in modern China, brings into focus issues of same-sex love into Chinese public awareness.

O was born and raised in Thailand but educated in England, and has lived there since 1994. He graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 2004. Amongst other works, he is currently directing music videos for Sony Music Thailand

Riri Riza
Een van de meest gerenommeerde namen uit de Indonesische filmwereld. Regisseerde de meest succesvolle film in Indonesië ooit: Laskar Pelangi. Samen met Mira Lesmana staat hij aan het hoofd van productiemaatschappij Miles Film.

Mira Lesmana
Samen met Riri Riza is Mira Lesmana een van de belangrijkste figuren uit de Indonesische filmwereld. Hun productiebedrijf Miles Films wist van veel films grote successen te maken. Daarnaast zet Lesmana zich in voor verandering van de huidige censuurwetgeving in Indonesië.

Lisabona Rahman
Geboren in Lissabon, Portugal is een freelance journalist, film criticus en organiseerde verschillende filmevenementen voor het Goethe Institut in Jakarta. Op dit moment is zij projectleider bij Kineforum Arts Council, dat zich inzet voor het archiveren en behoud van de Indonesische filmcultuur.

Yadi Sugandi
Regisseur van Merah Putih en cinematograaf van Laskar Pelangi en Eliana, Eliana. Yadi Sugandi werkt op dit moment aan de twee vervolgdelen van Merah Putih om de trilogie over de vrijheidsstrijd in Indonesie te completeren.

John Badalu
Initiator van het Q! Film Festival, het Queer Film Festival, en het Slingshort Festival, het korte film festival van Zuidoost-Azië.

Mouly Surya
Mouly Surya studeerde Cinema & Televisie aan Bond University in Australia. Na haar studie ging zij terug naar Indonesië om te werken als regie-assistent en regisseerde ze verschillende muziekvideo’s en de korte film DOLL (2005). FIKSI is haar eerste speelfilm die zij regisseerde en samen met Joko Anwar schreef. Tijdens de Citra Awards (de Indonesische Oscars) won de film de prijs voor “Beste Film"

One of the most reputable names within Indonesian Cinema. Directed Indonesia’s most successful film Laskar Pelangi. Together with Mira Lesmana Riza owns the production company Miles Film.

Mira Lesmana, together with Riri Riza, is one of the most prominent figures in Indonesian Cinema. Their production company Miles Films released a lot of successful films. Next to that, Lesmana is pursuing to fight and change the contemporary censorship laws in Indonesia.

Lisabona Rahman was born in Lisbon, Portugal and works as a freelance writer, journalist, film criticus. She organized several film related events for the Goethe Institut in Jakarta. At the moment Lisabona Rahman is working as a project manager for Kineforum Arts Council, which aims to archive and preserve the Indonesian film culture.

Director of Merah Putih and cinematographer of Laskar Pelangi and Eliana, Eliana. At the moment Yadi Sugandi is working on the two sequals to Merah Putih, to complete his trilogy about the war for freedom in Indonesia.

Mouly Surya completed her university studies Bond University in Australia, where she obtained a master degree in Cinema and Television. Upon returning to Indonesia, she worked as an assistant director, also directing several music videos and a short, Doll (2005). FIKSI is her first feature film, which she wrote in collaboration with Joko Anwar. She won the Best Film award at the Citra Awards (Indonesian version of the Oscars).
