International Festivals Open Doors for FilmLAB Filmmaker Enang Wattimena

Former FilmLAB participant Enang Wattimena will soon have his short documentary Liefde (Love) screened at Festival Film Dokumenter in Yogyakarta and at the ‘Deine Heimat ist meine Heimat’ programme of the Museum of Ethnology in Hamburg. 

Good news everyone! Enang Wattimena, from our 2017 CinemAsia FilmLAB programme, made his debut Liefde with CinemAsia FilmLAB, which is a story about the research on a part of untold family history. The journey of this short has certainly been an exciting one. After being screened at various international film festivals, including Balinale International Film Festival in Indonesia, and Show Me Justice Film Festival in the US, now here comes another climax of its journey! We are proud to announce that recently, Liefde has been added to the official selection of Festival Film Dokumenter 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and will be screened on December 9. On that exact same day, it will also be it has also been screened as a part of the ‘Deine Heimat ist meine Heimat (Your Home is My home)’ programme at MARKK, the Museum of Ethnology in Hamburg, Germany, hosted by CinemAsia FilmLAB and Asian Film Festival Berlin (AFFB).
