Iqbal and his parents are a family of faith healers who possess the supernatural power to see spirits. Their work as exorcists is abruptly put to a halt when Iqbal’s mother tragically passes away during one of their rituals. Iqbal is consumed with grief and guilt and attempts to rid himself of his powers. But when he and his friends unwittingly unleash a malevolent spirit lurking in a greenhouse, he is forced to overcome his fears to save his family and dearest friends.
Director Dain SAID’s uniquely suspenseful film is steeped in Malay folklore and Islamic beliefs. Blood Flower is sure to delight horror fans with its blood and gore while staying true to its heart as a coming-of-age tale about a teenager facing his inner demons.
