Following an attempt to assassinate the South Korean president, the Korean Central Intelligence Agency’s Foreign Unit chief PARK Pyong-ho and Domestic Unit chief KIM Jung-do are tasked with finding the conspirators. They both suspect each other’s department to be infiltrated by a North Korean mole, who is only known by their codename, Donglim. As clues unravel, the mystery thickens, while social unrest is also brewing against the president’s military dictatorship.

Set during the height of Cold War paranoia, Hunt is among the best recent historical espionage thrillers with a firm grounding in Korean politics. In his directorial debut, LEE Jung-jaewho shot to international stardom with his role in Netflix’s Squid Gamecrafts a puzzle filled with deception, betrayal, and unlikely alliances.

CinemAsia is excited to present Hunt as an exclusive  event premiere in collaboration with Periscoop Film. The film will be shown at special screenings in cinemas across the Netherlands from March 30.
