FRIDAY 8 MARCH
23:00 – 03:00
STUDIO/K

Get ready to celebrate 20 Years of CinemAsia at our first Queer Club Night. For this event we joined forces with Studio/Queer. CinemAsia has roots deeply embedded in the queer Asian movement in the Netherlands– as pioneers standing up for the and representation of queer Asian voices. Join us as we honor our legacy and continue to create safer spaces that celebrate the fluidity of queerness, East and Southeast Asian diversity, love, connection, acceptance, self-expression and the power of storytelling.

Be aware, this is a celebration of queer Asians, and East and Southeast Asian cultures in all their richness. Extra measures at the door, so come with an open mind and respectful attitude. Know the space you’re entering. Please read our house rules.

House rules
We strictly prohibit any form of aggression, discrimination, harassment, and any form of violence, such as (but not limited to): ableism, antisemitism, (body)shaming, bullying, intimidation, Islamophobia, racism, queerphobia, sexism, sexual misconduct and/or transphobia.

If you do experience or witness something that troubles you, please inform the awareness team or the bar staff at Studio/K. Our awareness team is here for you in case you experience or witness an unpleasant situation.

No photos or videos, as we prioritize being present and free expression. Our house photographer will capture the night in a way that preserves everyone’s anonymity.

Consent is key both on and off the dance floor. Beautiful connections can be made with respect—remember, no means no.

Biographies

BuruN ĐăngA
Đăng-Vũ Đặng (he/him) is a Dutch born Vietnamese multi-disciplinary artist based in Amsterdam, the city that has greatly influenced his musical journey for the past two decades: from the hip hop dance scene in his teens to the electronic music and club scene in the latter half of his life.

LARASATI
LARASATI (they/them) is a DJ and organizer. As part of Club Hits Different and Nusaqueer Diaspora they organize community events, the latter focussing on bringing together Indonesian queer diaspora. LARASATI has a love for high bpm euphoric sounds that exist on the border of sentiment and chaos, meddling in a variety of genres.

MXV
MXV or simply Max (he/him) is a DJ & visual artist. MXV is a fresh face with a unique approach to the classic club sounds. Building sets from a trippy uptempo point moving towards a heavier energetic sounding climax. He proves that there is room for thrills and fun within the darker elements of electronic music.
