Movies in De Nieuwe Kerk – Best of Modern Asian Cinema

February 1 to 4, 2024

In the context of De Grote Indonesië Tentoonstelling (The Great Indonesia Exhibition), De Nieuwe Kerk puts the spotlight on Asian cinema this coming February, to introduce the Dutch audience to its beauty and diversity. De Nieuwe Kerk will be transformed into a cinema for four days and will screen seven controversial Asian films. Each film will be introduced by an expert in the field of Asian cinema, to shed more light on the films and the context in which they were made. CinemAsia programmers will introduce six of the films.

The organization of this unique cinematographic event in the magical Nieuwe Kerk is a collaboration between CinemAsia, Outdoor Cinema and Bora Bora Productions to encourage visitors to delve further into the rich offering of Asian cinema.

A wonderful warming-up towards CinemAsia Film Festival 5-10 March 2024.
