CinemAsia Special Program Open Call: Wanderland

UPDATE: Submissions has closed

We cordially invite emerging artists and filmmakers to submit their audiovisual creations exploring migration and the complex dance of living between one place and another. Your narrative may encompass themes such as migration, journey, homeland, displacement and wandering. We are particularly interested in the perspectives of the recent Asian migrants.

Having ventured far from our roots, we’ve settled into Western life while holding onto our ties back home. We strive to re-establish connections with our homeland and question the intricate identities that unfold in the spaces in between. Embark on a dialogue inspired by our collective footprints — a discourse that delves into the historical, embraces the current, and reflects on the act of wandering while contemplating the very essence of what we call home.

A curated program featuring short films and performances will grace the screens and stages of a cinema in Amsterdam during the CinemAsia Film Festival 2024.
